It's fun and laughs with comedy ventriloquist
Ken Karter and his out of control
puppet "Madame Lasagna!" She's a sexy senior citizen looking for a young
man.
Many of us talk to ourselves. I talk to myself, get answers, and get paid to do it. I started ventriloquism when I was twelve years old and it has been a life long love affair bringing many characters to entertain wonderful audiences.
Learning ventriloquism is really the easy part. Having exciting characters that everyone loves and funny material is the challenge. I've been at it for over twenty-five years and I'm always thinking about another new puppet and always working on new jokes or ideas for the act.
The audience is judge and jury when it comes to humor. Just give them what they want and they're with you, and years of experience have taught me well.
Ken is assisted by his lovely wife Renee and they have been fortunate to have entertained on cruises world wide, as well as casinos, conventions, and review production shows. Come and share the laughter when you see this clever comedy act.
The
Frustrated Maestros Great Lakes chapter
of F.M.C.A. is a fun-loving, energetic group of volunteers whose main interest
is playing and singing music. Each year, the group's concerts are part of the
G.L.A.S.S. daytime and evening entertainment. We are located on the "midway" in
Building #35 across from the KFC Gazebo, and in the Grandstand on opening night. Besides the main band
and choral group, there are many specialized groups performing for your
pleasure; the Bluegrass Group, the March and Swing Group, a Jazz Combo, and
various vocal ensembles, as well as talented vocal and instrumental soloists and
specialty or comedy acts. Chapter members include professional musicians, music
educators, and others who just love music and have "dusted off" their high
school instruments or their singing voices to perform with the group.
Friday, May 23 - 6:30 p.m. - The Frustrated Maestros will be performing a half-hour concert in the Grandstand (Building 24) prior to the opening ceremonies . There will be daily concerts Friday, Saturday and Sunday in Building #35. Specialty groups will also be performing on the grounds at various times during the rally.
Friday, May 23 - 7:30 p.m. -
The John Bressler Show -
John Bressler has a great passion to entertain. He’s performed on television’s MTV, VH-1, the Grand Ole Opry and all over North America. Famous for his unique presentation including a rotating “Phantom Grand Piano”, this singer/songwriter/comedian/musician has nine critically acclaimed albums to his credit. He has shared stages with Willy Nelson, Kenny Rogers, Alan Jackson, Ray Charles, Alabama, Leann Rimes, Gloria Estefan, and many others. This multi-talented piano player and keyboardist known for his exuberant stage presence has been compared to Liberace, Victor Borge, Yanni, Elton John, and Billy Joel. With a soulfully raspy vocal style much like Rod Stewart or Louis Armstrong, spontaneous wry observations and insights, and a show featuring the sublime as often as the ridiculous, The John Bressler Show is celebrating over a quarter century of making people extremely happy. It’s a must-see show that’s totally unique, and that audiences from around the world truly love.

George
Damron
– Saturday at 10:00 a.m.
George Damron grew up in a small Michigan town where love, God, family, and country just came naturally. George always had a love for music, but his first foray into music was not of the country variety, but of heavy metal. After a short time of singing for a heavy metal band, George realized that his heart still cried out for the sounds of country. George has been singing country music now all over the country since 2003 and loves being on stage entertaining crowds and meeting new fans with every chance he gets. George realizes that, without his fans, there would be no one for him to sing to. When not on stage entertaining, George spends his time as a single dad with his two biggest fans, his children Selena and Magnus.
